West Chester University has a strong, national tradition of excellence in athletics. Every time a West Chester student-athlete or team meets with success, there is reason for friends and supporters of WCU and its Athletic Department to celebrate. It is the goal of the of West Chester athletic department to ensure supporters, friends and fans that the University is not sacrificing its integrity to continue its proud tradition of athletic excellence.

We all enjoy seeing the Golden Rams win, but it is important to follow NCAA rules governing the recruitment and treatment of student-athletes in the process. The control and conduct of WCU’s athletic program is the responsibility of the institution as a whole.
