West Chester University utilizes nine top-notch facilities for its 24 intercollegiate athletic programs. From state-of-the-art upgrades to the school’s football field, which doubles as home to the men’s and women’s outdoor track & field squads, to the traditional surroundings of Hollinger Field House nestled in the hub of North Campus, West Chester has played host to NCAA championship events, regional finals and conference titles.
The all-purpose artificial turf surface installed behind Sturzebecker Health Science Center on South Campus has witnessed an NCAA champion crowned in 2005 and the soccer fields have hosted the NCAA regional championship in each of the past two seasons. Hollinger Field House is annually the backdrop for the PSAC men’s and women’s postseason tournament while the gymnasium inside Sturzebecker HSC has housed the ECAC Women’s Gymnastics championships on multiple occasions.
