Head Men’s Basketball Coach

West Chester University of Pennsylvania invites applications for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. West Chester is a member of the highly competitive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference with 16 basketball members, and we have enjoyed regular post-season experiences at both the conference and NCAA level.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling all duties associated with successful coaching at the college level. This includes organization and administration of the program, recruiting, scheduling, budget preparation and other associated responsibilities of West Chester University’s Men’s Basketball Program. Fund-raising and conducting camps for scholarships for the program are a major responsibility.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. At least 5 years of previous successful head coaching experience at the high school level or 3 years of college coaching experience in basketball is required along with knowledge of and conformity to NCAA rules. Full-time, successful coaching experience at the college level and proven fundraising experience is preferred. Applicants must successfully complete the interview process to be considered as a finalist.
This is a full-time, salaried, 12-month position with full benefits, with additional income possible by conducting mandatory summer camps.

Head Women’s Gymnastics Coach

Pool Manager/Assistant Swimming Coach

The Pool Manager/Assistant Swimming Coach will be primarily responsible for ensuring pool safety, both chemically and physically, of the two University pools and secondarily serving as the assistant coach of the men’s and women’s nationally ranked swimming and diving teams.
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Pool Manager/Assistant Swimming Coach will be responsible for the management of a staff of certified lifeguards, ensuring all safety equipment is operational, and maintaining daily logs of chlorine and PH counts. This position will provide recommendations to the Director of Athletics and other appropriate University personnel as to the sanitary state of the University pools. The successful candidate will act as a liaison with University Facilities Management and Custodial Services.
The Pool Manager/Assistant Swimming Coach also reports to the swimming head coach on functions related to swim team activities, and the successful candidate will be expected to fulfill all responsibilities associated with effective coaching at the collegiate level, which includes all aspects of a nationally ranked program as directed by the head coach.
Minimum qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree; demonstrated successful coaching experience at the college, high school or national age-group level; knowledge of and adherence to NCAA rules and regulations; experience in the training and management of a lifeguard staff; demonstrated ability in the testing and monitoring of chemical levels at a high usage public pool; and current lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid certificates. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Certified Pool Operator’s license and Red Cross credentials to certify lifeguards within three months of hire.
Preferred qualifications include: Certified Pool Operator’s license; Red Cross credentials to certify lifeguards; and successful college coaching experience.
This is a full-time, salaried, 12-month position with full benefits. The salary for this position is $32,500 (firm) with additional income possible through conducting summer camp(s). Applicants must successfully complete the interview process to be considered as a finalist for the position.
