LAURINBURG, N.C. - Claire Grimwood and Lauren Glassy each scored four goals to lead sixth-ranked West Chester University to a 24-5 victory over host St. Andrew's Presbyterian College in a non-league women's lacrosse match Wednesday afternoon.
West Chester (2-0) concludes its southern training trip 2-0 with the victory while St. Andrew's falls to 1-4.
The Golden Rams led 14-1 at halftime, using a 15-0 spurt that spanned both halfs to put the game away. Ten different players registered a goal on the afternoon for the nationally ranked Rams.
Glassy posted a season-high five points in her second college game. Julia Walsh registered a hat trick and added two assists for a five-point day. Nicole Pyle also picked up her first career hat trick. Shannon Hayes recorded five assists in the contest.
Nicole Haines had two goals and one assist. Brittany Moore and Alyssa Gallen each scored twice.
Kelly Martin (1-0) posted five saves in goal for her first college win in her first start of the year.
