Andras Schonek

A three-time national champion, Andras Schonek was voted the teams outstanding athlete, after leading the Golden Rams to a sixth straight PSAC Championship in 2004. Schonek was a multiple All-American and PSAC Champion. In 2004, he earned All-America honors in the 200 freestyle, 500 free, and as part of the 200-, 400- and 800- free relays while picking up an honorable mention All-America certificate in the 100 free. He was also a 2004 PSAC champion in the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 200 free relay, 400 medley relay, 800 free relay and 400 free relay. Over the course of his time at WCU, Schonek earned seven All-PSAC awards for his titles and still owns multiple records at the school and conference levels. Most notably, he was an individual national champion in 2003 in the 200 free, while earning national champion status as a member of both the 200 free relay and 400 free relay.
 
Schonek currently resides in Hungary and is the President of Logistics and Management for the Vitala Group.
