Cecilia Rodden Forte finished her career as the most prolific scorer in West Chester University women’s basketball history. Her total of 1,487 points was the most in school history upon her graduation. Rodden also set the WCU career record for steals (281), field goals made (566) and free throws made (355). She set the single-season steal mark with 124 during the 1985-86 campaign.

Rodden’s career included earning All-PSAC Eastern Division honors for two years (1985 & 1986) and ECAC Division II all-star accolades in 1986. During the 1985-86 campaign, Rodden claimed the PSAC Free Throw Shooting Percentage Championship by converting 78.8% of her attempts.

Rodden was the first recipient of the annual Carol Eckman Award, the most prestigious honor that WCU bestows upon its women’s basketball players.
