The all-time winningest men's basketball coach in school history upon his retirement in 2008, Dick DeLaney racked up 370 career victories in 21 seasons (1987-88 thru 2007-08) while patroling the bench. He authored 18 winning seasons, won four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division titles (1994, 2000, 2002, 2006) and played for the PSAC championship twice (1998, 2001). Three of his squads qualified for the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament (1999, 2001, 2003).

A member of three different area halls of fame, DeLaney was a two-sport athlete while a student at West Chester University. He played on two men's soccer squads that qualified for the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Touranament while also a member of the school's baseball team.
