A four-year letterwinner for West Chester University's men's gymnastics squad, Frank Kudlac captained the Golden Rams' gymnasts with the same fire and determination that has helped him become one of the premier women's gymnastics coaches in the NCAA today. Kudlac was a member of three West Chester University conference championship squads and helped the Golden Rams to a runner-up performance his senior year.
The Binghamton, N.Y., native has carved out one of the most impressive coaching careers in NCAA gymnastics history as head coach at Texas Women's University since graduating from West Chester University in 1978.
In nearly 30 years at TWU, Kudlac has won six national titles, five USAGC championships and tutored more than 100 USAGC All-Americans. Kudlac has coached 42 NACGC Scholastic All-Americans. His teams have made 10 appearances in the NACGC scholastic top 20, and he has tutored a GTE Academic All-America selection. Additionally, Kudlac served as an assistant coach on Team USA at the 1994 Goodwill Games and has been named NCAA Division II coach of the year on six occasions.
