One of the pioneers in women’s basketball, who also starred in lacrosse, Luann Eadie averaged better than 22 points per game during her stellar college career. She was a two-year captain of the Lady Rams and helped them reach the AAU nationals in 1966-67, before capturing that tournament title the following campaign in her senior season. Eadie helped put West Chester University women’s basketball on the map and set the stage for a national collegiate tournament the following year, after her graduation. She holds the distinction of playing for two of the most well-respected and legendary coaches in their respective sports while at West Chester. Eadie starred on the hardwood for Carol Eckman’s squads while also competing in lacrosse during the spring for Vonnie Gros.
During her professional career, Eadie has served as an assistant women’s lacrosse coach at both University of Maryland and what is today known as Rowan University while coaching four different sports at the high school level.
