An NCAA All-American in doubles competition, Mike Schnably played a significant role on both of West Chester University’s men’s tennis team championships in 1984 and 1986. He finished the 1984 campaign nationally ranked in both singles play and doubles competition. Schnably teamed with fellow WCU Athletics Hall of Fame member, Tom Carter, to go undefeated in doubles play during the 1986 regular season and PSAC Championships. Together, that tandem comprised the best doubles team in the PSAC as well as in the region.

Today, Schnably is Senior Vice-President at Citadel in Exton, Pa. He is on the board of directors for Brandywine Valley YMCA. He also developed the nationally recognized Citadel Heart of Learning Award for outstanding teachers.  Still active in the game of tennis, he was recently ranked 5th nationally in singles competition in the over-45 age group.
