Her 1981-82 season was the most productive campaign of any Golden Rams basketball player - men’s or women’s - in school history. She recorded a school record 698 points on the season, converting 253 field goals and 192 free throws - each records. On February 20, 1982, Reitnouer scored 42 points in a 97-77 victory over Towson State, a mark that still stands as the highest single-game point total in WCU women’s basketball history.

At the conclusion of her senior year in 1982, Reitnouer was selected an AIAW All-America for her outstanding season.
