WCU Men Finish Ninth At NCAAs

2010 NCAA Division II Men's Swimming & Diving Championships - Final Day Results

CANTON, Ohio
- Adam Vance finished runner-up in the 3-meter diving competition to highlight West Chester University’s final night at the 2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships held inside C.T. Branin Natatorium Saturday night.

Drury won its sixth straight men’s team title with 538 points. University of the Incarnate Word was second with 403 points. Wayne State was third with 343, Grand Valley fourth with 314, Ouachita Baptist fifth with 300, Wingate sixth with 290 points, UC San Diego seventh with 251, Missouri S&T eighth with 198 and West Chester ninth with 193 points.

Vance, who finished third in the 1m diving competition on Thursday, bettered that position by one in the 3m event with 497.15 points. He was the only top eight finish for the Golden Rams’ men on Saturday, which cost WCU two spots in the final standings as it dropped from seventh to ninth to close out the NCAAs.
