LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Connor Lefever shot a five-under 137 at the 2010 Ohio Valley Invitational to win the individual title in his first career collegiate tournament and helped West Chester to a second-place finish in the team standings. For his efforts over the weekend, he has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) athlete of the week.
Lefever shot a 67 on the second day of the tournament, bettering his first round by three strokes. Lefever's 137 was the best thirty-six hole performance by a West Chester golfer in over two years.
Lefever’s title was the first by a West Chester golfer since Dominic Frassinelli won the twenty-third Collegiate Shootout in Hershey, Pa. in June 2008. The Rams' runner-up status was the highest they had placed in a tournament since finishing second in the Sheraton Invitational in March 2009.
