MANAHAWKIN, N.J.- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released its Division II field hockey National Academic Squad on Wednesday morning and West Chester landed 13 players on the list in recognition of their efforts on the field and in the classroom.

National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
The Golden Rams 13 honoree were a part of 430 outstanding student-athletes from more than 30 institutions and West Chester had three players recognized for the fourth year in a row as four of 59 four-year honorees announced the NFHCA.
Morgan Becker (West Chester, Pa./East), Sofia Brown (Broomall, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), Emma Combs (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown), Millie Gallagher (Birmingham, England/Solihull School), Veerle Hersman (Lisse, The Netherlands), Lana Hughes (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh), Alexa Lehman (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin), Eileen O'Brien (Oceanside, Ca./San Pasqual), Erin O'Donnell (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn), Adriana Palumbo (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford), Allison Patel (Mickleton, N.J./Kingsway), Macey Reese (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh), and Laura Rogers (Delmar, Del./Delmar) were all honored by the association. Becker, , Gallagher, and Palumbo were the Golden Rams four-year honorees.
The NFHCA will continue handing out academic awards as this month goes on, announcing its Scholars of Distinction on Friday, and the NFHCA National Academic Team awards next Tuesday before concluding with the announcement of the National Scholar Athlete on February 20.
