Tess Hayward played a crucial role in West Chester’s Tri-meet sweep this past weekend over the Southern Connecticut State Owls, 237-95, and the Shippensburg Red Raiders 171-161.
On day one, Hayward recorded a first-place finish in the 100 free and the 200 free relay with her teammates. In addition, Hayward was a part of the relay team that had a first place finish in the 800 free relay. That performance set a new pool record with their time of eight minutes flat. Hayward contributed in two second-place finishes in the 200 butterfly and 400 medley relay.
On day two, she led the team with two first place finishes in the 50 Free and 200 free, along with a second place finish with her teammates in the 400 Free Relay. Â
