Athletics Scholarships - Release Process

Athletics Scholarship for Prospective Student-Athletes
 
West Chester University strives to uphold the highest standard of integrity to comply with all national, conference and institutional rules and regulations. 
 
Beginning with 2024-2025 signees enrolling full time at West Chester University in 2025-2026, the NCAA has moved to a new signing model for all prospective student-athletes. West Chester University will transition the core benefits of the original National Letter of Intent (NLI) program into our Athletics Grant-In-Aid Agreement policy and procedure. Please review the NCAA education below on our policies and procedures surrounding being released from the contact prohibition or athletics grant-in-aid agreement.

Prospective Student-Athlete Signing an Athletic Scholarship 
 
As soon as a prospective student-athlete signs an Athletics Grant-In-Aid agreement with WCU, all recruiting contact from other NCAA member institutions is prohibited. If a prospective student later decides WCU is not the right fit for them, prospective student-athletes may request a release from the contact prohibition that accompanies the Athletics Grant-In-Aid agreement by using the link below:
