Junior back Kristina Scherrer played a significant role in West Chester’s two games this weekend that led to a PSAC Championship.

Scherrer’s performance earned her the tournament's most valuable player award after the championship game against Millersville University.

Offensively, she totaled five points, including a goal and four assists for the Golden Rams.

Scherrer’s presence on the back line of the defense was a major factor in the pair of shutouts over rivals Millersville and East Stroudsburg.

West Chester, ranked No. 1 in the South Region, is expected to hold onto that No. 1 ranking and earn a bye into the NCAA Division II national semifinals. That official announcement will not come until Sunday, November 23rd.
