Jackson Hyland (Avondale, Pa./Kennett) was impressive this past week in the NCAA Tournament, as he helped West Chester to pick up its first NCAA Tournament victory in program history on Saturday afternoon against Wheeling Jesuit. On Saturday, Hyland was impressive as he recorded 20 points while also pulling down eight rebounds to go along with four assists, two blocks and two steals, which helped West Chester to the victory over Wheeling Jesuit. On Sunday, Hyland finished second on the team in points with 14 while also reeling in 15 rebounds, to go along with three assists, and a pair of steals. Unfortunately, this strong performance was not enough to stave off a late second-half charge from East Stroudsburg and West Chester fell in the NCAA Round of 32 bringing its season to a close.
