Nick Ward (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) had a big weekend at Lock Haven as he went 4-for-11 (.363) with 10 RBIs, six runs scored and four home runs. In the first game of the series, Ward saw the ball well as he went 2-for-4 with two home runs, two runs scored, five RBIs, and one walk. Unfortunately, this performance was not enough to help West Chester pick up the come from behind victory in game one. In the second game of the day, Ward went 0-for-2 but he did reach base safely via a hit-by-pitch. In the first game of the day on Saturday, Ward went o-for-2 with one run scored to go along with another walk and a sac fly. In the final game of the weekend, Ward helped the Golden Rams avoid the sweep as he went 2-for-3 with another two homeruns, three runs scored, five RBIs to go along with another walk and a hit-by-pitch. This five RBI performance helped the Golden Rams to avoid the sweep and escape Lock Haven with one victory on the weekend. Ward set new career-highs for home runs and RBIs in a single game this weekend with two home runs in two different games as well as two five RBI performances.
