Jared Melone (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) had a great week at the plate once again this week as he went 9-for-12 (.750) with five RBIs and two runs scored to help West Chester take three of four from PSAC East rival and perennial power Millersville. In game two on Friday afternoon, Melone went 2-for-2 with one RBI, one run scored and a pair of walks in the Golden Rams 4-3 victory over the Maruarders. Melone was right back at it on Saturday afternoon as he went a perfect 7-for-7 with four RBIs and a run scored to help West Chester take two from Millersville on Saturday afternoon. Melone was next to impossible to get out over the final three games of the series as he went a perfect 9-for-9 at the dish with five RBIs and two runs scored in the three West Chester victories. After this big weekend Melone has seen his average rise to .491 and he also leads the team in RBIs with 41 on the on the year.
