Katie Thompson (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) had an impressive week scoring four goals in a pair of West Chester victories over Shippensburg and Mercyhurst. Against Shippensburg, Thompson started her week with a bang scoring the first goal of the game just over two minutes in before scoring again in the 22^nd minute to put West Chester ahead 3-0 over its rival. This 3-0 cushion proved to be vital as West Chester went on to win by a final score of 4-2. On Saturday afternoon at Mercyhurst, Thompson was back at it as she scored twice within a six second span to erase a two-goal halftime deficit tying the score at 2-2 in a game that West Chester would go on to win by a final score of 3-2. Thompson now leads the team in points as she has eight goals and four assists for a total of 20 points on the year passing teammate Kaitlin Hatch on the team leaderboard.
