David Mervis (Gathersburg, Md./Gonzaga) had a strong outing for West Chester on Saturday afternoon against Shippensburg as he delivered a complete-game victory surrendering just four hits and one unearned run while striking out four to help lead West Chester to a split with Shippensburg. Mervis improved to 3-0 on the year on Saturday afternoon while lowering his ERA to just 2.25.
