Kayla Owens won the shot put event and finished eighth in the discus throw at the All-America Meet at East Stroudsburg on Saturday. Owens moved up to third in the conference in the shot put with her throw of 41.1 while her discus distance was 112. Just a freshman, Owens is a favorite to score points at the upcoming PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
