Kitty Fischer was named the PSAC Female Swimmer of the Meet. It marked the second straight year in which a West Chester swimmer copped swimmer of the meet honors. She was a four-time individual winner at the 2014 PSAC Championships and set a national record in the 200 Individual Medley on the first night of the meet.

The Golden Rams concluded the 39th PSAC Championships with 893 points to easily outdistance the field. It marked the second straight year in which West Chester surpassed 800 points and is the most points the Golden Rams have collected at the conference meet since 2005 (1,073).

On Thursday, Kitty Fischer broke a national record in the 200-yard Individual Medley, Fischer swam the 200 IM in 1:59.41, becoming the first female in Division II history to crack two minutes. Her time set a new national standard in that event and was an automatic qualifying mark.

Fischer teamed up with Megan Winslow, Alexis Walley and Tess Heyward in the 200 medley relay to pick up a third win for the Golden Rams on Day One. They posted a time of 1:44.13.

Friday, Fischer picked up another conference crown in the 200 freestyle in 1:49.70.

Saturday, Fischer hit an NCAA automatic qualifying time in winning the 100-yard breaststroke. Fischer touched the wall in 1 minute, 1.8 seconds, setting a new PSAC record and a new meet record in the process.

Sunday, Fischer placed first in the 200 breaststroke, locking up her fourth individual title of the Championships, clocking a time of 2:14.4.
"(Fischer) is one heckuva swimmer," WCU head coach Jamie Rudisill said. "There is nothing that she can't swim. She broke a national record here, and there are better things to come for her. She has made a big difference on this team."

West Chester's 400 free relay closed out the meet with a first-place showing as well. The foursome of Kitty Fischer, Tess Hayward, Emily Stang and Mia Barone clocked a time of 3:26.37.

West Chester will now train for the NCAA Division II Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, which will be held next month in Ohio.
