SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - West Chester opened the weekend women's volleyball round-robin tournament at Shippensburg Friday night with a 3-0 sweep over Elizabeth City State by scores of 30-13, 30-15, 30-23.
West Chester (21-5) received 11 kills from Michelle Powers and 10 kills from Jenna Burd while Kristen Decker posted seven kills and 12 digs for the Golden Rams.
Lisa Yeasted dished out 29 assists and registered two service aces. Jacqueline Vivanco led the team with 24 digs and Kyra Yost chipped in with 15 digs.
The Golden Rams extended their winning streak to four straight as a result of the win. They will finish up the weekend tournament Saturday afternoon with two matches against Wheeling Jesuit and University of District of Columbia. Both of those contests will be played in Shippensburg as well.
