CALIFORNIA, Pa. – In a fitting rebound game Saturday afternoon, the Golden Rams of West Chester defeated Slippery Rock, 3-2.
The match was very tightly contested as West Chester prevailed, 30-28, 18-30, 30-22, 22-30, 15-12.
Games two and three however did not go the Golden Rams’ way, as they lost by scores of 30-18 and 30-22.
Kristin Decker finished the match with 12 kills and 34 assists. Michelle Powers recorded 11 kills. Jenna Burd recorded nine kills, and Ashley Focht recorded nine kills and 31 digs. Jacqueline Vivanco finished the match with 39 digs, and Ashley Focht recorded nine kills.
The Golden Rams will return to action Tuesday at 7 p.m., when they host first-place Shippensburg.
