WEST CHESTER, Pa. -The West Chester men’s swimming team received great performances on the day as they defeated a tough Lehigh team, 133-99, Saturday morning at Graham Natatorium.
The Golden Rams received many personal bests in the meet. Senior Devin Canfield swam an impressive lead off of the 100-yard backstroke with a split of 52.8 seconds. The split marked Canfield’s best dual meet time ever leading off that event.
The Rams were also surprised when freshman William McClernan swam his personal best in the 200 breaststroke in 2:08.76. This time also was recorded as a national “B”time.
The squad also received contributions from senior Chris Salomone at the 1000 freestyle and Matt Golebiewski in the 200 freestyle.
