MANSFIELD, Pa. – West Chester received a goal from senior co-captain Danielle Gerz and an own-goal from Mansfield to earn a 2-2 overtime tie with the hosts Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Rams (11-1-2, 6-1-2 PSAC East) saw its seven-game winning streak snapped, though its unbeaten string remains alive. Mansfield moves to 2-9-2 overall and 2-4-1 in the league. West Chester remains in first place, earning its 20th point on the season.
Goalkeeper Hilary Smart made four saves for the Golden Rams, before giving way to Brittney Barnes, who recorded two saves.
West Chester returns home on Wednesday for a 4:30 p.m. contest versus Shippensburg.
