WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The women’s volleyball team lost a tough match against Clarion this afternoon 3-0 in the first of two matches during the PSAC crossover tournament held inside Hollinger Field House Saturday afternoon on homecoming weekend at West Chester University.
The Golden Rams (17-4) played very hard in all three sets. The squad came alive in the second and third, but a tough Golden Eagles squad countered every serve that was batted at them.
The Rams continued to resilient with senior leadership coming from Kristen Decker. Decker posted a team-high 10 kills and finished second on the team with 10 digs. Decker broke the school’s all-time digs mark during the match, adding yet another accolade in her impressive collegiate career.
The senior can contribute the majority of her kill opportunities to Lisa Yeasted. Yeasted posted a team-high 24 assists, four kills, and 11 digs. The team continued to get consistent play from Michelle Powers. Powers tallied five kills, two digs, and two solo blocks in the contest.
The Golden Rams looks forward to taking on Millersville on Oct. 2 at Millersville at 7 p.m.
