West Chester Forces Decisive Game At North Atlantic Regional

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - Matt Cotellese and Bob Stumpo homered in the top of the seventh inning, and closer Eric Carmichael pitched three innings of relief to earn his 11th save of the season as No. 24 West Chester defeated Shippensburg, 12-10, Sunday afternoon in the first game of the 2008 North Atlantic Regional Championship Series at Point Stadium.

West Chester (45-15) and Shippensburg (37-24) will play a second game, which will start at approximately 2:55 p.m., for the right to advance to the NCAA Division II College World Series next weekend in Sauget, Ill.
