WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Brittany Yetter scored a goal and assisted on another to pull No. 2 West Chester into a 2-2 tie in a non-league contest against visiting Philadelphia University Sunday afternoon.
Yetter scored in the 73rd minute of the contest to knot things up and that’s the way it would end as the second-ranked Golden Rams saw their seven-game winning streak end. West Chester will take an eight-game unbeaten streak into league action this week.
Philadelphia had taken a 2-1 lead with back-to-back tallies in the second half that erased a 1-0 halftime lead by the Golden Rams.
Freshman Tara Malkiewicz had given the hosts a 1-0 advantage midway through the first frame with her first college goal.
West Chester senior goalkeeper Hilary Smart made two saves on the afternoon while Philadelphia’s Sara Hall was credited with nine stops.
