MANSFIELD, Pa.- Janelle Garber poured in 26 points on 13-for-17 shooting as visiting West Chester took over sole possession of first place in the PSAC East with a 70-59 victory over host Mansfield inside Decker Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (12-5, 4-0) remained unbeaten in league play with the win. Renata Neal added 11 points and three blocked shots. The Golden Rams shot 52.5 percent from the field in the contest compared to Mansfield's 36.1 percent.
Allison Hostetter registered four steals and eight rebounds.
The Golden Rams put the game away with a 15-3 run over a 6:41 span that carried into the second half and allowed West Chester to open a 44-29 advantage. The lead would eventually bulge to 15 points before settling at 70-59.
