WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Jessica Bennett and Jen Hutchinson each scored for West Chester as the Golden Rams shut out their 10th straight opponent en route to a 2-0 win over visiting Holy Family on a soggy and wet Friday evening inside John A. Farrell Stadium.
West Chester (14-1-1) moved its winning streak to eight straight and its unbeaten streak to 14 with the victory over Holy Family (8-7-1).
Rams goalkeeper Lyndsie Bernardini racked up her 13th shutout of the year. She made four saves to pick up her 14th win on the season. She has now posted 953 consecutive minutes of shutout soccer in net for the Golden Rams.
Bennett put WCU on top in the 42nd minute with a blast from the top of the box that beat HFU goalkeeper Gina Mansi. Senior Heather Manorek was credited with an assist on the play.
Jen Hutchinson then doubled the Rams’ lead in the 59th minute.
Mansi made 10 saves in the losing effort for Holy Family.
West Chester travels to Chestnut Hill on Wednesday.
