WEST CHESTER, Pa. - It has become a right of passage in the fall, and it is about to happen once again this weekend. West Chester University's nationally ranked women's soccer program will host the first and second rounds of the 2009 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament this Friday and Sunday at South Campus Fields.
Tickets to the first and second round games are $7 for adults and $3 for students with a valid ID and senior citizens and $1 for children ages 2-12. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Fans using a GPS system for directions to the soccer facility should type in the following address: 801 South New Street, West Chester, PA 19383.
West Chester welcomes PSAC counterparts Indiana (Pa.) and Gannon to its friendly confines. IUP and Gannon will square off on Friday afternoon at 12 p.m. in a first-round tilt with the winner advancing to take on host West Chester on Sunday at 12 p.m. as well.
The Golden Rams have beaten both IUP and Gannon earlier this year. WCU topped IUP, 4-1, in the PSAC semifinals last weekend at South Campus Fields. The Rams traveled to Erie, Pa., in October and defeated the Golden Knights, 1-0.
