CLARMONT, Fla.
- West Chester University's softball team swept its two contests Monday afternoon, defeating both opponents by the eight-run rule. The Golden Rams topped Concordia College, 9-0, in five innings and then turned around and beat Salem International, 9-1, in six innings.

West Chester (4-2) has now won three of its four contests down south. The Golden Rams were originally scheduled to play Salem International at 9:30 a.m., but SIU never showed up for the game. Therefore, West Chester took on Concordia at 11:30 a.m. and then played Salem International at 1:30 p.m.

Shannon Padula (3-0) remained perfect on the season with the win over Concordia. Padula pitched a five-inning, no-hitter against Concordia - the second of her college career. Freshman Samantha Soprano (1-2) pitched three innings of the second game against Salem International to register her first college win. Padula pitched the rest of the way in relief to earn the save.

Megan Harbaugh hit her first home run of the season in the 9-1 win over Salem International.
