CLARMONT, Fla. - West Chester University split two games down in Florida as the Golden Rams continue their southern trip during spring break week. West Chester beat Concordia College, 9-1, in eight innings before losing 4-0 to No. 9 Winona State.
Samantha Ingersoll hit a grand slam in the third inning to erase a 1-0 deficit, and West Chester (6-4) tacked on five more in the fifth thanks to four hit batsmen during the frame. Samantha Soprano (3-2) picked up the win in the circle against Concordia. Meghan Halberstadt went 1-for-3 with an RBI single during that big fifth inning.
In the second game, Shannon Padula (3-2) suffered the loss inside the circle. She allowed just one earned run in the loss.
