WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The West Chester University softball team has planned a Strike Out Cancer event for the doubleheader versus Millersville University on Friday, April 17.
WCU will be wearing pink warm-up shirts before the games and pink ribbons during the games to help raise awareness for breast cancer. A donation will be taken during the game with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. Senior recognition will also be taking place before the games.
The softball program will contain a cancer fact to increase knowledge on the disease and a cancer survivor will be throwing out the first pitch.
The Strike Out Cancer game against Millersville University will begin at 2:30 pm at the softball field in South Campus.
