COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Megan Yoder registered a hat trick to lead Ursinus College to a 5-1 victory over visiting West Chester in the annual Eleanor Snell Cup Sunday between the two regional rivals.
West Chester (5-5) dropped its fifth straight contest after opening the season on a five-game winning streak. Ursinus, ranked fifth in the country in Division III, improved to 7-2 on the year.
Alisha Moran netted the only goal of the afternoon for the Golden Rams in the 38th minute. That unassisted tally made the score 3-1 at the time.
However, Yoder potted two of her three tallies in the second half to extend the hosts' lead.
Joelle Zarefoss made eight saves in goal for West Chester.
West Chester is off until it returns home on Oct. 4 to face Lock Haven in a non-conference match at Vonnie Gros Field.
