SALISBURY, N.C. - Brooke Muth scored two runs and Samantha Soprano picked up the win in the circle as West Chester University downed Davis & Elkins, 5-2, in its second game of the day at the Catawba Tournament Friday night.
West Chester (2-0) used a balanced offensive attack to turn back Davis & Elkins late Friday. The Golden Rams have put themselves in a favorable position in the weekend tournament at Community Park in Salisbury, N.C. After a round-robin portion of the tournament, an elimination round will take place beginning Saturday night.
West Chester takes on Lenoir-Rhyne and Glenville State Saturday afternoon.
