WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Jen Gangl scored two goals to help host West Chester (4-0-0, 2-0 PSAC) beat visiting Slippery Rock (3-1-0, 1-1 PSAC) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women’s soccer match on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Gangl scored her first goal during the 32nd minute of the match and her second on a beautiful corner kick during the 71st minute. West Chester also received a goal and assist from senior forward Sarah Oswald to improve her team-leading goal total to three for the season.
West Chester has not allowed a goal in four matches this season. Sophomore goalkeeper Lyndsie Bernardini recorded her 18th career shutout. Bernardini finished with five saves for the match.
Dana O’Neill recorded seven saves for Slippery Rock.
West Chester hosts Kutztown on the South Campus Fields on Wednesday in its next contest. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
