WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Marie D'Angelo scored for West Chester and Shannon Fedyk made four saves as the host Golden Rams played to a 1-1 tie with visiting Gannon in a PSAC Women's Soccer match on South Campus Field Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (9-2-4, 6-2-4 PSAC) came out of the weekend with four of a possible six points, following a win over Mercyhurst on Friday, while Gannon (8-3-4, 5-3-4) accomplished the same in a pair of pivotal conference matches.
D'Angelo banged home a cross from Melissa McKeary in the 72nd minute of the game to put West Chester on top. However, the Golden Knights responded two minutes later when Sarah Deck tied the game offf an assist from Amanda Sharbaugh.
The two teams then played a pair of scoreless overtime periods to finish the game knotted at 1-1.
The Golden Rams outshot the Knights, 11-5 and held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.
