Women's Swimming Takes Care Of Bloomsburg, 107-90

WEST CHESTER, Pa.
- Megan Winslow was a double winner, and West Chester captured seven events overall, as the hosts topped visiting Bloomsburg, 107-90, in a swim meet inside Graham Natatorium Friday evening.

Winslow won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100 free, posting a time of 25 seconds flat in the 50 and 54.76 seconds in the 100. West Chester's 400 medley relay was also a winner in 4:03.24. That team consisted of Leah Varvaro, Amelia Buckley, Alexis Walley and Codyanne Murtaugh.

The Golden Rams took the top three spots inthe 200 butterfly and 200 backstroke while capturing the top two spots in the 100 free. Kenzie Deubler followed Winslow to the finish line in the 100 (55.25). Jess Healy won the 200 back in 2:11.54, followed up by Varvaro (2:13.18) and Kacie McNichol (2:14.29). Buckley won the 200 fly in a time of 2:11.86 while Lauren Keenan was second (2:13.64) and Mia Barone was third (2:16.67).

McNichol also won the 200 free in a time of 1:58.61. The Golden Rams took third, fourth and fifth in that event as well. Kendall Somers won the 1000 free, touching the wall in 10:45.87.

West Chester has the next few weeks off as it prepares for the Terrapin Cup at the University of Maryland Nov. 17-18.
