PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Melissa McKeary scored a goal and assisted on two others, playing a part in all three goals in the game, as visiting West Chester went on to a 3-0 shutout over host Holy Family in a non-league women's soccer match Tuesday afternoon.
West Chester (7-2-3) scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the game and added an insurance tally shortly after halftime to down Holy Family (4-6-0).
McKeary assisted on goals by Marie D'Angelo and Jen Hutchinson in the first half. Then, she scored her fifth goal of the season two minutes into the second half. D'Angelo assisted on that last tally to finish with a goal and an assist in the contest.
Shannon Fedyk (7-2-3) was called upon to make just one save in 90 minutes of work for the shutout.
West Chester returns home Saturday afternoon for a PSAC match against Indiana (Pa.) at 1 p.m. on South Campus.
