WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Alex Lennon and Allison Hostetter each registered double-doubles as host West Chester downed visiting Mansfield, 62-46, in a PSAC East women's basketball contest inside Hollinger Field House Saturday afternoon.
Lennon scored 10 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked six shots for West Chester (15-5, 6-2 PSAC East). Hostetter scored 10 points and grabbed 14 boards while recording seven steals. Mansfield (6-14, 1-7) was led by Mallory Moore's 12 points.
Megan Stewart scored 15 points, and Mary Kate Serratelli continued her hot hand with 10 to round out the Golden Rams' four players in double figures. West Chester shot just 32.9 percent from the field (24 of 73), but the difference was in the number of shots for each side. Mansfield attempted just 51 shots as the Mountaineers were harassed into 35 turnovers.
West Chester travels to Kutztown on Wednesday evening for a tussle with the Golden Bears. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
