CLERMONT, Fla. - Kim Murl went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and a pair of RBI, but suffered the loss inside the circle as Post defeated West Chester, 5-4, in a softball contest at the National Training Complex in Clermont, Fla. Thursday.
West Chester (4-7) had its game with Belmont-Abbey washed out because of the rain. The Post game was originally scheduled for a 9 a.m. start, but did not get played until 4 p.m.
Abby Block went 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored and Jillian Murray was 2-for-4. Jessica Schuck was 1-for-3 with a RBI.
West Chester concludes its southern trip on Friday with games against College of Saint Rose and St. Joseph's (Ind.). The Golden Rams then return home to prepare for its home opener next Wednesday against Holy Family.
