MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Abby Block went 2-for-4 with a home run in the nightcap to help visiting West Chester salvage a split of its PSAC East doubleheader softball meeting with host Millersville Wednesday afternoon.
West Chester (17-12, 3-3 PSAC East) took the second game, 5-2, after falling 3-1 in the opener to Millersville (11-13, 1-5).
Kim Murl (8-7) went the distance in the second game, scattering eight hits over seven innings while allowing just two runs to score. She struck out six and did not walk a batter.
Erin MacNamee was 3-for-4 in the nightcap.
West Chester hosts Kutztown on Friday in another PSAC East doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
