EDINBORO, Pa. - The 24th-ranked Edinboro Fighting Scots defeated No. 12 West Chester, 2-0, in a PSAC women's soccer match in a downpour at Sox-Harrison Stadium Friday afternoon.

West Chester (4-1-3, 2-1-3 PSAC) had a few good opportunities in the first half, but could not finish against Edinboro (6-2-0, 4-2-0). The Scots scored twice in the second half to put the game away.

Freshman goalkeeper Shannon Fedyk was credited with eight saves, while Edinboro's Meghan Kelly made six.

West Chester takes on Clarion Saturday afternoon to conclude its western swing.
