BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – West Chester’s women’s swimming squad won nine of the events en route to a 151-111 victory over host Bloomsburg Friday evening.
Megan Winslow won a pair of sprints in touching the wall first in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100 free. Winslow clocked a time of 25.25 seconds in the 50 free and 55.04 seconds in the 100 free.
Both Alexis Grier and Kacie McNichol registered a win and a runner-up spot in the dual meet. Grier won the 200 Individual Medley in a time of 2 minutes, 14.12 seconds with McNichol right behind her in 2:15.23. McNichol won the 200 breaststroke in 2:32.62.
West Chester’s depth was too much for Bloomsburg. The Golden Rams took the top two spots in four different events. Kendall Somer won the 100 breaststroke (1:08.99) with Amelia Buckley (1:09.04) right behind her. Lauren Keenan (2:13.35) won the 200 butterfly with Alexis Walley (2:13.95) right behind her.
Annemarie Ruberti won the 200 free in 1:57.98, and Jess Healy won the 200 backstroke in 2:12.57. The 400 medley relay was the other first-place winner for the Golden Rams Friday.
West Chester will travel to the Rutgers Invitational on Nov. 16-18.
