Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - West Chester University women's basketball standout forward Alexandra Lennon was named PSAC East athlete of the week it was announced by the conference Monday afternoon.
Lennon scored a season-high 23 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked five shots to lead the Golden Rams to a win over PSAC East rival Mansfield. She also shot 9-of-12 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free throw line, missing just three shots all day. It marked the third time this year that Lennon scored more than 20 points in a game.
Lennon added a pair of steals to her defensive effort Saturday along with her five blocked shots and four defensive rebounds. Lennon is currently sixth all-time in PSAC history with 226 career blocked shots. Lennon also scored her 900th career point in the win.
West Chester and Lennon will be off this week for finals. The Golden Rams travel to Slippery Rock next Tuesday night and then take on Edinboro Wednesday.
