COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Kelsi Lykens scored a pair of goals and assisted on two others to lead visiting West Chester to a 6-3 victory over host Ursinus in the 35th Annual Eleanor Snell Cup series between the two regional field hockey powers.

West Chester (8-3) now holds a 16-15-4 advantage in the overall Snell Cup series while taking a 30-25-12 lead in the overall series between two of the oldest intercollegiate field hockey programs in the country.

Lykens helped stake West Chester to a 4-1 lead by halftime when she assisted on Stef Pirri's goal just 1:12 into the contest. She later scored in the 13th minute to push the Golden Rams' lead at the time to 3-1. Five minutes later, Lykens assisted on a Alexis Versak goal that pushed the visitor's lead to 4-1. She would also score on a penalty corner in the 62nd minute that gave the Rams a 6-2 advantage with eight minutes remaining in the game.

Pirri finished with one goal and one assist. Marnie Kusakavitch and Alayna Brown scored West Chester's other two markers on the afternoon.

Audree Bonavita made seven saves in 66 minutes in the cage for West Chester. She picked up the win while Ursinus' Danielle DeSpirito recorded 15 stops in a losing effort. The Golden Rams outshot the Bears by a 29-13 margin. The game saw 31 penalty corners called with West Chester holding a slim 17-14 advantage.
West Chester returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to No. 2 Millersville for a PSAC showdown.
